1U rack for RPS and bulk power sources. With quick disconnect connectors for three individual loads, the PSM1554 accepts three PSM500 500-Watt power supplies. Applications include Power-over-Ethernet,
VoIP phones, DC UPS, lighting systems with single UPS, and network redundant power sources.
“The PSM1554 is unique in that it is PoE- and network RPS- compatible,” said Keith Hopwood, vice president of marketing for Phihong
USA. “Not only does it meet isolation requirements, but it is hot-swappable, and configured for PoE midspans and 48V RPS input for switches.”
The PSM1554 is available with 48V main up to 30A and standby 12V up to 4.5A, and operates from an input voltage of 90-264VAC, with active power
factor correction. It is hotplug, n+1 configurable for scaleable and redundant applications.
Each output is individually protected against overloads causing overheating of wiring from excessive current, thus fully protecting the system
against overload, over-temperature and over-voltage. It features diagnostic capabilities and LEDs next to each connector. The rack is also compliant with the IEEE 802.3af input voltage requirements. The
product was designed to allow easy connection of a battery plant for full DC UPS capability for VoIP phone systems or network switches. A single battery plant can provide a UPS function for over 100 IP phones or a
complete rack of network switches.
The PSM1554 is 17.25 inches x 13.77 inches x 1.75 inches, and it weighs 2.5 pounds.
Typical pricing for the PSM1554 rack is $129 and less than $100 for 500W power modules in OEM quantities. Lead time is stock to 10 weeks.
