FREMONT, CA (December 11, 2003)—Providing designers of OEM electronic equipment a quad-output power supply for applications
requiring 150W of power, Phihong announces the immediate availability of its PSF-149 enclosed power supply. The PSF-149 device delivers up to 150W of power with increased reliability, stability and overall lifetime
of the power supply. This industrial power supply features four DC outputs of 5V, -5V, -12V and +12V. The PSF-149 power supply features a high power density at 150W output and carries worldwide EMC compliance.
Designed for Phihong’s universal industrial series, the PSF-149 delivers high efficiency for applications such as test equipment, networking systems, business machines, process control hardware and low-profile
racks.
“The PSF-149 power supplies are designed and built to our stringent engineering and quality standards with active over-voltage and
over-current protection to prevent damage to the product under short circuit and overload conditions,” said Keith Hopwood, vice president of marketing for Phihong USA. “This power supply delivers up to
150W of power with 70% efficiency, thus minimizing heat dissipation with excellent thermal characteristics.” The PSF-149 power supply is CE compliant, thus reducing system approval cost while meeting conducted
and radiated EMI standards. The power supply’s robust enclosed construction readily survives dips and browns-outs, surges, spikes and lightning strikes. Safety approvals at this time include cUL 1950, 3rd
edition and TUV EN60950. Like virtually all Phihong power supplies, the PSF-149 is approved for UL, cUL and TUV. AC input voltage ratings for the PSF-149 are 100 to 240VAC with voltage range from 90 to 246VAC.
Output loads range from 0.2A with –5V up to 15A with 5V. The power supply features a power factor correction of = 0.9 at maximum load.
The PSF-149 device measures 201.4mm x 99.4mm x 39.1mm. Pricing is $88.36 each per 100 units. Samples are available immediately.
