— Phihong USA, the global leader in external power supplies, has expanded its adapter offering with a 20W version featuring interchangeable plugs. Designated the PSC20R Series, the 20W adapter is available with four interchangeable clip adapter plugs for
use in virtually any power outlet around the world. The worldwide compatibility allows a single part number to be used, simplifying inventory and approvals.
“Only one top assembly is required for this design so we can manufacture a product that not only saves energy but development time and
cost as well. OEMs only have to test and approve one product design that can be shipped to locations all around the world,” said Keith Hopwood, vice president of marketing for Phihong.
This new series of adapters is ideal for applications including gaming machines, computer peripherals, network equipment and retail equipment.
The PSC20R Series adapter is a limited power source available at a competitive cost that reduces the OEMs’ cost of stocking multiple
finished items for various geographic destinations.
Measuring just 3.9 inches x 2.5 inches x 1.4 inches, and weighing 9 ounces, the adapter features a DC socket and low leakage current. The
device meets Energy Star and CEC level IV standards. The PSC20R also meets cUL/ UL, TUV, SAA, CE, and C-Tick safety approvals.
The 20W adapter features no-load power saving and a low leakage current of .25mA. AC input voltage ranges from 90VAC to 264VAC with short
circuit protection and auto restart. DC output is available in 12V, 18V and 24V.
Pricing for the PSC20R adapter is $16.31 each in quantities of 100. The AC clips are sold separately. PSC20R adapter is currently
available from stock.
