Phihong Delivers 120 Watts In Low-Profile, Open Frame Power Supply
 

FREMONT, Calif. (April 6, 2006) — Phihong USA, a global leader in electronic accessories and power supplies, introduces a 120-watt, low-cost, open frame power supply with a low-profile ideal for a variety of applications.  Designated the PSA120 Single Output Series, the power supply’s 3 by 5 inch footprint fits 1U racks for applications such as POS terminals and network hubs.

“The PSA120 delivers just the right level of power for some of the most popular applications requiring an open-frame unit, but Phihong can offer it in a low-profile, low-cost package,” said Keith Hopwood, vice president of marketing for Phihong USA.  “These features provide significant design flexibility to engineers in applications including computer peripherals, routers and gaming machines.”

The PSA120 is available with DC output voltage of +5V, +12V and +24V, and maximum loads of 15A, 10A and 5A with output power of 75W to 120W.

The PSA120 Series power supply is over-voltage and short circuit protected, with cUL/UL, TUV and CE safety approvals.  Both the over-voltage and short circuit protection have automatic restarts, and the output can be shorted permanently without damage.  Operating temperature for the power supply is 0 degrees C to +50 degrees C while in operation and -25 degrees C to +85 degrees C during non-operation.

The PSA120 is 5 inches by 3 inches by 1.3 inches, and weighs 25.40 ounces.
