Small 30W Single Output Adapter Series Delivers Cost-Effective Power for Small and Portable Systems
Fremont, California, April 3, 2000 --- Phihong USA's new PSA-31U adapter delivers an appealing
balance of small size, good regulation, low conducted noise, a variety of output options and very low cost. The PSA-31U series was designed for portable equipment including notebook computers as well as
computer peripherals and networking equipment.
Seven models provide outputs ranging from +5Vdc to +48Vdc. Most models deliver 30W output power, while the lowest output voltage versions (+5V and +9V) are limited
to 20W. Output ripple is 1% peak-to-peak max and combined line and load regulation is ±5% on all outputs.
The adapter includes a three-wire standard IEC input connector and 90-264Vac universal input for worldwide operation.
All models are UL1950 listed, CSA 22.2 950 and TUV EN60950 safety approved. In addition, the adapter is designed to meet European directives. All models meet FCC,
EN55022 and VCCI class B conducted and radiated emissions. They also meet EN50082-1 immunity to the following limits:
EN61000-4-2, level 2
EN61000-4-3, level 2
EN61000-4-4, level 2
The series will bear the CE mark.
The PSA-31U includes a non-vented, spill-proof plastic case that eliminates shock
hazards. The case itself measures 4.4" x 2.4" x 1.3" (113 x 61 x 34mm) and includes a 5' (1500mm) output cable with 5.5mm output barrel connector. Pricing is $20.75/100 and
all models are available off-the-shelf.
