Phihong USA Announces the PSA-15LN Open Frame Switchers with Two-and Three-Wire Inputs
Fremont, California, July 18, 2000 -- Phihong USA announces the PSA-15LN series of 15 watt single-output switching power supplies. These supplies have
two versions; one with two wire AC inputs and the other with three wire AC inputs. The three-wire version is used in countries such as the US that offer a
ground connection as part of the wall outlet power distribution system. The two-wire version is designed for use in countries with no ground connection. The
series accepts any input voltage from 90 to 264 VAC, allowing it to operate anywhere in the world.
The series is also very small, measuring just 4.33" x 1.57" x 1.0" high. The
small size makes it ideal for use in portable instruments, peripherals, terminals, and microcomputers. Seven single-output models range from 3.3V to 24V and deliver +/- 1% line regulation and +/- 3% load regulation.
The PSA-15LN series meets numerous international regulatory standards. The
very low conducted noise meets FCC class B and EN55022 B emissions. It meets IEC 61000-4--5 level 3 AC surge immunity standards and is safety approved to UL1950 and CSA C22.2 950-M95. TUV EN60950 is pending.
Ground leakage current is less than 250 uA for the two-wire version and 750 uA for the three-wire version.
